What is BeefAPI?
BeefAPI is a unified AI API for developers building applications and using coding tools. One API key connects you to supported text, image, and video models, with prepaid USD credit and per-request usage records.
How do I get started?
Create an API key in the console, add USD credit, and follow the quickstart to send your first request. OpenAI-compatible clients use https://global.beefapi.com/v1 as the base URL. Check the price list for available model IDs and rates.
What is USD credit?
A stable display unit for account balance and API usage. Payments, fees, refunds, and exchange rates are always settled from the original payment record.
Can I add USD credit now?
Yes. Sign in, open Billing, choose an amount at checkout, and wait for the confirmed credit to appear in your wallet.
Where do I create an API key?
Sign in, open API Keys, create a key, and keep it on your server. Do not expose it in browser code or public repositories.
How are refunds handled?
Email support with your order reference from Billing. A person reviews the request against the original payment and replies by email.
Where can I check usage?
The Usage page shows model, time, request ID, status, and USD consumption for your account.
Which website is official?
This service is at https://global.beefapi.com/. Documentation is at https://docs.global.beefapi.com/docs. beefapi.com is the separate Chinese-site entry. Keys and credit from there cannot be used here.
How is usage charged?
Check the unit shown for each model: text commonly uses token units, while image and video units depend on the model. Current rates are on the price list. The Usage page shows the recorded USD cost of each request.
Who is this for?
Developers who already use an API key or an OpenAI-compatible or Anthropic-compatible client. Availability is not guaranteed for every request. For a ready-made chat or editing app, choose an end-user application instead; BeefAPI supplies the API layer.
How should I compare API services?
Start with the exact models and endpoints your application needs. Compare pricing using the same input, output, cache and media units; check supported client features, limits, failure handling, data policies and support. Test a representative request and inspect its result and recorded cost before committing. Use the price list, client guide and error guide to evaluate BeefAPI against those requirements.
